About

A tile crew
that answers the phone.

Ramirez Flooring Installation LLC is a Tampa-based tile and remodeling company. Small enough that the person who quotes your job is on site while it's built. Established enough to be licensed, insured, and still here when you need us in two years.

01 — Who we are

Tile is the trade.
Everything else is service.

We started as a tile installation crew and we still think like one. That matters more than it sounds — a general remodeler subcontracts the tile to whoever is cheapest that month. We are the tile crew, so the most technical, least forgiving part of your bathroom is done by the people whose name is on the invoice.

Over time customers kept asking us to handle the rest — the plumbing that had to move, the vanity, the glass, the leaking valve in the other bathroom. So we do that too. What we don't do is pretend to be a general contractor for work outside our lane; if your job needs a licensed electrician or a structural engineer, we'll say so and help you find one.

Se habla español. Atendemos en español por WhatsApp, por teléfono y en persona. Presupuestos gratuitos, escritos y sin compromiso.

02 — Licensing & insurance

Check us. Then check everyone else.

Florida has no shortage of unlicensed remodelers, and homeowners carry the risk when something goes wrong. Here's exactly how to verify any contractor — including us.

Our licence

Look us up on the Florida DBPR licence portal, or ask and we'll send the certificate.

Cosmetic tile work rarely needs one. Moving plumbing or altering structure does — and we pull it rather than pretending otherwise.

Red flags to watch for

In any contractor, not just us — these are the ones that cost homeowners money.

  • Large cash deposits before materials are ordered
  • No written scope, or a one-line quote
  • Reluctance to show licence or insurance
  • No photos of their own in-progress work

03 — The guarantee

In writing. years.
No small print games.

Manufacturers warrant their tile and their mortar. Almost nobody warrants the installation — which is where nearly every failure actually comes from. We do.

  • What's covered

Tile setting and bond, grout and joint failure, waterproofing performance, pan slope and drainage on anything we installed.

  • What we do about it

On site within 72 hours of you reporting it. We diagnose, repair and re-finish at no cost. If a repair isn't possible we redo the affected area.

  • What's not covered

Honestly: impact damage, structural movement of the building, third-party work, and normal wear on caulk joints — caulk is maintenance, not a defect. We'll re-caulk at cost any time you ask.

  • Your record of the job

You get the in-progress photos — waterproofing, slope, framing — as a PDF at handover. It's your evidence if you ever sell the house or make a claim.

04 — What clients say

Tampa Bay homeowners, in their words.

Want to speak to a past client? Ask. We'll put you in touch with someone whose job was similar to yours and near where you live — we'd rather you heard it from them than from our website.

05 — How we price

Why our number is sometimes higher.

We lose bids. Usually to someone who left something out. Here's what's always in ours, so you can compare like for like.

01

Prep is quoted, not assumed

Self-levelling, patching, backer board and demolition all appear as line items. A quote without them isn't cheaper — it's incomplete.

02

Waterproofing is never optional

Every wet area gets a full bonded system. It's a meaningful cost and it's the reason the shower lasts. We don't offer a version without it.

03

Waste factored honestly

12–15% on straight layouts, up to 20% on herringbone and diagonals. Under-ordering means a mid-job stoppage and a dye-lot mismatch.

04

Disposal and protection included

Skip, floor protection, dust containment and daily clean-up. Not an extra that appears on the final invoice.

We'll tell you honestly what's missing from it — even if it's a good price.
